I got the program, now what?
After installation and activation, you need to open a MC360 world file (savegame.dat) in the MC360 NBT Editor so you can edit it. You can use a program called Horizon to load saved worlds stored on an Xbox 360 formatted USB drive, and then extract the savegame.dat from any world. There are many tutorials out there explaining how to do this, or you can watch my tutorial on Rideable Ender Dragons to get a better understanding of the basic process.
Where is my product key?
Once you buy a product key, an email will be sent to you containing the key. The key will be sent to the email address on the PayPal account or the email address that was provided upon payment. If you don't see the email containing the product key, check your spam!
Are there any free trials?
No. I could go on for hours throwing out reasons for why this program isn't free and has no trials...
Can this program convert worlds?
Nope. No "Xbox to PC" or "PC to Xbox" converters were coded into the MC360 NBT editor.
Will this work on Mac/Linux?
No. This program was developed specifically for Windows operating systems. If you try to activate the program using a Virtual Machine, it will NOT WORK either. However, some users have contacted me to let me know they got it to work on Mac using a program called Wine. You may try that out at your own risk. If you already bought a product key and can't use it because you're on a non-Windows operating system, just email me at [email protected] using the email address you used when you made the purchase and let me know you're on a non-Windows operating system. If the product key HAS NOT ALREADY BEEN USED, I will issue a refund.
I'm having an issue with the activation process. Can you help?
Of course! But before you email me, look through the rest of the FAQ and the Troubleshooting section to see if your question has already been answered. Just email me at [email protected] using the email address you used when you made the purchase and explain your issue. Basically, whatever email address received the product key and PayPal receipt is the one you need to contact me with. That way I can look up your purchase and ensure you were the original buyer.
Will one product key work on multiple PC's?
No. Similar to most key-activated software (Windows, Photoshop, Fraps, etc.) one product key only works on one computer. Otherwise, you could buy one product key, use it, then give it to someone else for free.
How can I move the program from one PC to another?
The process is simple. I will do what is called a "license transfer." I will deactivate the license on the first computer so that way the product key you purchased will work again on the second computer. Just email me at [email protected] using the email address you used when you made the purchase and let me know that you want to perform a license transfer. Basically, whatever email address received the product key and PayPal receipt is the one you need to contact me with. That way I can look up your purchase and ensure you were the original buyer. Once I see the email (Usually right away because I get them on my phone) I will perform a license transfer!
Deactivation after a changed hardware component. Help?
Sometimes after a hardware component was changed, my program thinks you're on a different computer. The steps to fix this is the same as a license transfer (previous question). Just email me at [email protected] using the email address you used when you made the purchase and let me know that you changed components of your computer. Once I see the email (Usually right away because I get them on my phone) I will deactivate the license so it will work again!
The old program could do *insert feature here*. Can this one?
Maybe. While this program can do much much more than the old one without all the bugs, it doesn't have everything the old program had. For example, the new program CANNOT import a png image into a map, or convert worlds. Just because the old program did something, that doesn't automatically mean this program can do that as well.
My world froze. Is that a bug with your program?
It's possible, but highly unlikely. Since this program isn't free, it has been tested extensively in a wide variety of scenarios. Currently, there are no known bugs that could cause world corruption. What is probably happening is a value was entered that is too extreme or not yet implemented in the game. For example, increasing a slime's size from 3 to 2,147,483,647. Or entering a block ID that doesn't exist in the game.
How do I do *insert mod here*?
Look around this page under the "Mods" section for a tutorial to help you with a mod. If you didn't find a suitable tutorial, then COOL! You might have just thought of a new mod! Look around the Minecraft wiki for more information on NBT tags to see if you can try it out yourself!

Troubleshooting

Try the following before contacting me about an issue.

1. Activation Issue (Outdated Version)
If the activation window keeps displaying even after a successful activation, double check that you are on the latest version. View the Changelog below to see which version is the latest. v1.8 fixed most activation issues.

If you are unsure which version you're on, simply redownload the program and install it again.
2. Activation Issue (Date and Time)
If the activation window keeps displaying even after a successful activation, then try checking your computers date and time settings. If these are off by even one minute, the activation process can sometimes mess up.
3. Activation Issue (Virtual Network Adapter)
If the activation window displays occasionally even after a successful activation, then a virtual network adapter may be to blame. If you have a VPN installed on your computer, then it's likely you have a virtual network adapter.

Here's how to check for and remove a virtual network adapter:
1. Open command prompt. (Hold Shift and right click the Desktop. Select Open command window here.)
2. Type ipconfig /all. Press Enter.
3. Look at each Description for any virtual network adapters.
  Look for descriptions similar to:
   - TAP Adapter V9
   - Anything with the word VPN
   - Anything with the word Virtual.

4. Once located, confirm it's a virtual network adapter by searching the Description online. After confirming, uninstall/disable it using the instructions provided for that specific adapter.
5. Contact me using the email you used when you made the purchase so I can deactivate the license so it can be entered again.
4. Installation Issue
If you are experiencing an error during installation, it's likely that the download was corrupted. 9 times out of 10, this is caused by antivirus software. Disable all antivirus/firewall and redownload the installer to try again. Norton is the #1 offender.
5. Entry Point Not Found
"The procedure entry point rand_s could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files (x86)\MC360 NBT Editor\MSVCR100.dll"

Steps to fix:
1. Download and open the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 32-bit Redistributable Package.
2. Restart your computer and try to open the program again.
